Richard Deverell
Richard began his career in Charlie Daniel’s Design Studio in London, washing brushes and palettes, changing the water and making tea. He quickly rose to the esteemed position of Studio Manager, a post held before him by another Charlie, who left to join the Rolling Stones. As a designer who could draw, Richard developed his skills at Charlie Daniels as an illustrator and visualiser. He left to work for himself in 1976.
Christine Deverell
Christine is a researcher and children’s writer whose day-to-day role in the company is Project Management, Mac Design, Editorial and Copy Writing support. She and Richard have collaborated on many of the 60 plus titles that feature his illustrations. As well as the UK, their work has been published in the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Holland, France, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Japan, China, Korea, Israel and Lebanon. |

Julian Deverell
Julian’s background in Graphic Design and Apple Mac Sales and Service ensures all our technology is in place and working including our network and workstations. He sees to it that the company is using the most up to date software and hardware and stays abreast of advances in graphic design technology. Julian also assists with Production, working directly with printers and manufacturers in the Far East.
James Deverell
James is our in-house Photoshop Artworker and Colourist. With a genetically transmitted eye for design, he honed his skills whilst working in a large Bath publishing company. He collaborates with Richard on complete illustration projects
